BC baseball hosts camp

Throughout the summer, Bellevue College hosts many youth camps for kids in the community and forkids who are trying to better themselves athletically. July 29 to August 1, the BC Baseball coaches Mark Yoshino and Kevin Miller, who have been involved with youth instruction for 20 years and are members of the BC baseball team, are hosting a youth camp for children aged 10-12.

At the summer youth camp, the main skills that are going to be focused on are hitting, fielding, baserunning, team defense concepts and pitching. The summer camp, according to Yoshino, will emphasize four main goals: fun, lots of instruction, lots of prizes and a great facility for the kids to experience.

Throughout the camp, the kids will also receive many baseball memorabilia items and will get the chance to win items such as bats, gloves and pro baseball prizes. At the beginning of the camp, all of the attendees will receive an official Bellevue College Baseball T-shirt. On the final day of camp, the kids will also receive awards and prizes varying from wooden bats, Nike apparel and fitted Bellevue College game hats.
